At GMIS, multiple events are organized by the students themselves. They take up the lead from the planning, execution and later on enjoying the event. They always have mentor teachers to look forward to for any guidance or help. In the process, they enhance multiple skills like communication, organizing, managing and planning which helps them develop their personality and value time and money. At times students part ways, fight and disagree but at the end the bonds which go through this are far stronger than any other friendship and they learn to work as a team.

We believe that birthdays should not be celebrated with blowing off candles but lighting many. And so our school has a unique way of celebrating birthdays by doing Havan and seeking the blessings of almighty. Havan also has many scientific benefits as it cleanses the air which in return heals our body. Another Indian festival, Vasant Panchami is celebrated which is dedicated to goddess Saraswati who is the ancient goddess of knowledge, language, music and all arts. Saraswati puja is performed on the occasion of Vasant Panchami to invoke the blessings of goddess Saraswati for all the students, especially for the students of 10th and 12th appearing for board exams with a belief and emotion that all the students may score well and exceed in their lives.

Council members are inducted every year through a formal investiture ceremony. The objective behind the student council is to inculcate leadership qualities and team spirit through real time practice. Through such practices the students learn to take up responsibility for their school and fellow mates and learn important life lessons. The celebration on that very day makes every child who is elected feel proud and embarks on their journey to become leaders of tomorrow.
